Business and operating profile
UBQ Materials develops and commercializes thermoplastic material made from residual municipal solid waste for use as a substitute or additive in plastic products and compounds. Its current product families include UBQ ClimaPos, UBQ Industrial and UBQ Masterbatch.
UBQ's Zeelim, Israel site began as a pilot facility and later transitioned to research and development. In 2024, UBQ opened its first full-scale production facility in Bergen op Zoom, Netherlands.

Commercial applications and funding
UBQ has announced commercial or development applications with Teknor Apex, Carmel Olefins and Bazan, Keter, PepsiCo and a Virginia waste-cart initiative. No recurring revenue, sales volumes or binding offtake terms have been disclosed for these applications.
UBQ announced a USD170 million funding round led by TPG Rise in December 2021 and a USD70 million round led by Eden Global Partners in September 2023. A further EUR5 million Just Transition Fund grant for the Netherlands project was announced in September 2024.

Legal entities and investors
UBQ legal entities include U.B.Q Materials Ltd and UBQ Materials NL B.V. TPG Rise Climate and The Rise Fund, Eden Global Partners, Battery Ventures and M&G Catalyst have participated in UBQ funding rounds. UBQ board members Steve Ellis, Ignacio Giraldo, David Dwek and Scott Tobin are affiliated with The Rise Fund, TPG Rise, Eden Global Partners and Battery Ventures, respectively. Current ownership percentages and control rights are not disclosed.

Capital structure and security
U.B.Q Materials Ltd and Kreos Capital VII Aggregator SCSp are parties to a loan facility and U.S. intellectual-property security agreement dated July 18, 2024, alongside floating-charge and fixed-charge debentures. The security agreement covers U.S. patents, trademarks, copyrights and proceeds. The facility amount, pricing, maturity, covenants and current balance are not disclosed.
On June 16, 2026, the USPTO recorded application 19/105252 under the July 2024 U.B.Q Materials and Kreos intellectual-property security agreement. The supplemental filing contains no facility terms.
